The CEO of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawala, tweeted, “I will reduce the price of the vaccine given by the Serum Institute of India from Rs. 400 to Rs. 300 per dose and it will come into force with immediate effect.” This will save the state thousands of crores of rupees. This will allow for more vaccination and countless lives can be saved.
