With the return of their homeland, these three players were banned by the Sri Lanka Board. Mendis, Dickwella and Gunatilka will not be able to play international cricket for the next one year. Taking strict action, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board took these three players out of the team and at the same time they were called back to Sri Lanka. Now these players have been banned for one year. All three players flopped badly

The ban on Dickwella, Kusal Mendis and Gunatilka means that these three players have also been ruled out of the ODI and T20 series against India.
