New Delhi, 30/6 (AO Bureau):Bharat Biotech has reacted to the ongoing controversy regarding the Covaxin deal in Brazil. The company has said that till now no payment has been received from the Brazilian government. The company has also clarified that they have not even supplied the vaccine to the Brazilian government. Let us tell you that there has been a big controversy over the prices of the vaccine in Brazil, where the opposition is constantly targeting President Jair Bolsonaro.
After a temporary moratorium on the vaccine deal by the Brazilian government, the company said, ‘Bharat Biotech has neither received any advance payment nor supplied the vaccine till 29 June 2021 from the Ministry of Health of Brazil.’ Regarding the prices of the vaccine, the company said, ‘The price of the vaccine for supply to governments outside India has been clearly established at $ 15-20 per dose. The price for Brazil has also been reported as $15 per dose.
