Punjab: 10 MLAs came in support of Captain Amarinder Singh, said – Sidhu should apologize

Chandigarh, 18/7 (AO Bureau):The political picture of Punjab is constantly changing these days. On one hand Navjot Singh Sidhu is constantly trying to become the President of Punjab Congress, on the other hand Captain Amarinder Singh has also given full force to stop him. Amidst the news of being given the command of Punjab Congress, Sidhu is constantly meeting big leaders of the party. But in the meantime, a senior party leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira has thrown a googly towards Sidhu. Khaira has claimed the support of 10 MLAs on his side. Along with this, he has issued a joint statement asking Sidhu to apologize.

Let us inform that Khaira has recently left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the Congress. In a joint statement, he has said that there is no doubt that the appointment of the state PCC chief is the prerogative of the party high command, but at the same time washing away the mess. The reputation of the party has also fallen during the last two months.

Captain’s Support
The MLAs said that it was because of the Captain that the party gained power in Punjab after the 1984 Darbar Sahib attack and the subsequent massacre of Sikhs in Delhi and elsewhere in the country. Captain Amarinder Singh had also faced vendetta politics at the hands of the Badal family for filing a corruption and disproportionate assets case against him in his first term as chief minister, the statement said.

Party will suffer
The MLAs said that since there are only six months left for the elections, pulling the party in different directions will lead to losses in the 2022 elections. He also supported Captain Amarinder Singh’s demand that Navjot Singh Sidhu, who had made several tweets against him and the government, should publicly apologize so that the party and the government could work together.
