First death because of Delta plus variant reported in Mumbai

Mumbai, 13/8: The first case of death due to Delta Plus variant has come to light in Mumbai. A 63-year-old woman died in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar in July, the report of which has now surfaced. According to the report, the death of the woman was due to the Delta Plus variant. Surprisingly, the woman had taken both the doses of the vaccine, yet the woman died due to the delta plus variant. Let us tell you that so far two deaths have occurred due to Delta Plus variants in Maharashtra. The first death occurred on June 13 in Ratnagiri of an 80-year-old woman. In fact, on August 11, it was confirmed that the woman died due to the Delta Plus variant.

 

On behalf of the state government, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was informed that in the genome sequencing test, it has been found that 7 people in Mumbai are infected with the delta plus variant. After this BMC started talking to the people who came in contact with these patients. This woman was also among those seven people.
