Anderson and Co blow India away

Lords,25/8:This has been quite a turnaround from England. They were down and out at Lord’s and it was India that were brimming with confidence ahead of the 3rd Test but 244 deliveries later on Day 1, it’s the hosts who are smiling. Their pacers have put on a show as India were bowled out for 78 – their third lowest score while batting first in a Test and ninth overall – in just 40.4 overs. Rohit Sharma dropped anchor at one end but eventually fell to a short delivery – caught on 19 off 105 and his was the highest individual total in Indian innings followed by 18 runs from Ajinkya Rahane. Indian bowlers will have to do something extraordinary to pull things back now.
