New Delhi, 25/8: Amidst fears of a third wave of corona, there is a plan to give corona vaccine to children of 12 years and above in India from the first week of October this year. There are about 120 million children in the age group of 12 to 17 years in the country, but first the vaccine will be given to those children who are suffering from some serious disease. Permission has been received from DCGI for the vaccination of children of 12 years and above. Zydus Cadila’s vaccine Zycov-D is planned to be given to children from the first week of October this year.
According to Dr. NK Arora, chairman of the Central Government-made Kovid Working Group Committee, the company has said that it has asked Jayakov to join the vaccination program from the first week of October. That is, now there is an expectation that people above 18 years of age are being given the vaccine, but soon children will also be included in the vaccination campaign.
