Will Amarinder Singh remain CM till election?

New Delhi, 26/8: Congress is once again facing the rebels. Even after the intervention of the high command, the Congress is fighting the rebels in an attempt to stop the threats of toppling the government in Punjab and Chhattisgarh. However, the party has tried to give the same message to the rebels of both the states that the CMs of both the states will continue in their respective posts. On one hand, ministers and MLAs in Punjab demanding the removal of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday reiterated their demand, while the Congress claimed that there was no question of doing so. On the other hand, in Chhattisgarh, CM Bhupesh Baghel again took a dig at rival TS Singh Deo. Four Punjab Congress ministers and three MLAs met the party’s state in-charge Harish Rawat in Dehradun on Wednesday and demanded Amarinder’s removal. Rawat had said before the meeting that the 2022 assembly elections would be fought under the leadership of Amarinder. However, he also told the party MLAs that the CM would not be changed.

According to the English newspaper The Indian Express, Rawat said that no one has officially submitted any memorandum to me demanding a change of leadership. I am hearing this from Punjab…media and others. But I don’t think there is such a thing. There are some problems. There are issues that need to be addressed by the Chief Minister. I think he will take necessary steps.
