CDS Bipin Rawat to meet army chief owing to Taliban concern

New Delhi, 29/8:India’s concern has increased since the Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan. The way the Taliban has got the support of Pakistan, it is no less of a big threat to India. This is the reason that in view of the changed situation in Afghanistan, a meeting of Indian military officers is going to be held under the leadership of Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat. In this meeting, security measures are expected to be discussed in view of India’s threat from Taliban.

Let us tell you that in view of the increasing proximity of Taliban, a UN-designated global terrorist group with Pakistan-based terrorist groups like Tehreek-e-Taliban, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Haqqani Network, the chiefs of the three army will brainstorm over border security. The capture of Taliban in Afghanistan is proving to be worrying for India because it will be the first time that not a single American soldier will be present on Afghan soil.
