CM inaugurated the journey of 110 new buses in Odisha

Bhubaneswar,3/9: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the journey of 110 new state-of-the-art buses from the headquarters of OSRTC at AG Chowk in Bhubaneswar. It is equipped with all the latest amenities to give passengers a comfortable experience.
There are various technical facilities such as CC TV camera, comfortable seat, emergency button, vehicle tracking system, fire extinguishing system, system ITMS to provide various information to the passengers inside the bus for security. These buses will also be used for interstate bus transportation. Of the 160 new buses to be operated by the corporation, 110 have been launched today, while another 40 will be operational soon.

Currently, 36 buses are connected to Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in 24 districts and 63 interstate routes by OSITC. The 110 buses that started today include the Volvo, AC Uttra Delux, Non-AC Delux and Non-AC High Comfort buses.

Later, Chief Minister Ramadevi inaugurated the restaurant ‘Invitation’ built by OTDC near Women’s University. The restaurant, which was inaugurated on the occasion of the 72nd founding day of the OTDC, will feature authentic Oriya cuisine. This will help in the development of culinary tourism by popularizing Oriya food. The OTDC’s invitation to the restaurant chain is the first and the next to be announced in Puri and Sambalpur.

Later, the Chief Minister went to Patia and inaugurated two depots of my bus at Patia and Bhagwanpur. Both of these state-of-the-art depots have been cleaned by machines and refueled.

Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Diversified Empowerment Institute at Pokhariput by the State Department of Social Security, Differential Empowerment. Built at a cost of Rs 14 crore, the institute provides all kinds of disability tests, treatment, mobility training, pre-school education, painting, dance training and vocational education and various types of advice. The institute has accommodated up to 100 differently abled children under the age of 18. Parents of children can also stay with the children for treatment. The center also offers state-of-the-art equipment.

The function was attended by Minister Shri Padmanabha Behera, Minister Shri Pratap Jena, Minister Shri Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi, Minister Shri Ashok Chandra Panda, MLA Shri Anant Narayan Jena, MLA Shri Sushant Raut, OTDC Chairperson Shri Mishra and various secretaries.
