Bhubaneswar,18/9: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief over the death of Manorama Mohapatra, a former editor of “The Samaj”and a prominent literary and educational figure.
As an educator, writer and orator, the late Mohapatra has created a special place for himself in the Oriya world. She has been instrumental in raising awareness on various social issues, especially women’s rights and issues. As editor of the Society, he maintained a high standard of journalism. As a member of the Lok Sabha, he played an important role in social service. The Chief Minister said that Odisha had lost an orator and a majestic woman in his absence.
The Chief Minister extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished them well.
