Change in Indian cricket team ahead of T20 Worldcup

Dubai,8/10: The 15-member Indian team has been announced for the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2021). But during the second phase of IPL 2021, the poor performance of many players has put the BCCI in trouble. In view of this, the board is going to meet on Saturday 9 October. Changes can be approved in the meeting. Captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma, coach Ravi Shastri, board secretary Jay Shah and chief selector Chetan Sharma are reported to have attended the meeting. According to ICC rules, teams can make changes till October 10.

 

 

According to the news of Inside Sports, many important decisions can be taken in the meeting. This includes the inclusion of Shreyas Iyer in the team in place of Ishan Kishan. Iyer is currently involved as a reserve player. Ishan could only score 11, 14 and 9 runs in the first three matches of the second leg being played in the UAE. But he played an aggressive innings of 50 not out off 25 balls against Rajasthan Royals in the last match. On the other hand, if we talk about Iyer, he has played an innings of 47 *, 43, 1, 33 * and 2 runs. Apart from this, Suryakumar Yadav has also not been able to perform as expected.
