Odisha CM announces increase in salary of Contractual employees

Bhubaneswar, 3/10: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has announced a 25 per cent increase in the remuneration of persons employed through outsourcing agencies and on contract basis in various departments of the state government. This will benefit about 33,000 people employed in various departments of the Odisha government. The state government will have to spend an additional Rs 100 crore annually for this.

 

Legal entities such as EPF and ES7I will be paid by the relevant agencies outsourced and contracted. The authorities of the department where they work will ensure this. The Chief Minister also directed that stern action be taken against the companies that neglect to pay the above legal fees.

 

In addition, the Chief Minister has directed them to be allowed a maximum of 12 days off per year. Similarly, in the case of pregnant women, the Chief Minister has advised the concerned authorities to take a decision as soon as possible considering the issue of maternity leave.
