Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik distributes BSKY smart health cards in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, 18/11:In a major development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the distribution of smart health cards under the BSKY scheme  in Kendujhar district. About 4.20 lakh families in the district will get the benefit. Thirteen districts of the state, including Kendujhar, participated in the program.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Smart Health Card program under the Biju Health Welfare Scheme has guided the entire country in the field of health care. During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated various projects worth Rs 1433 crore for Kendujhar district.

“The state government has been focusing on drinking water,” he said, referring to the government’s goal of making Kendujhar a prosperous district. The Chief Minister had announced that all villages, towns and families in Kendujhar would be provided with piped water by December 2022.
The Chief Minister said that the state government would launch a Mega Poultry Project worth Rs 36 crore to increase the livelihood of the tribal brothers and sisters. He said 30,000 tribal brothers and sisters would benefit from this.

The Chief Minister was happy to announce that 4.20,000 families in the district will get smart health cards under the Biju Health Welfare Scheme.

The Chief Minister said that three and a half crore people from 96 lakh households in the state would benefit from the Smart Health Card. “It simply came to our notice then. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer. Now people can get better treatment at 200 of the country’s largest hospitals by holding a card with no problem. “It simply came to our notice then.

“Odisha is the only state where the state government carries all the costs, from testing to treatment to all patients during the coronation,” he said, adding that every life is worth living.

At the beginning of the day, the Chief Minister thanked the people who worked for the happy completion of 100 converted schools on Children’s Day. He said the public offering of 100 schools in one day was a record across the state. The Chief Minister was happy that Kendujhar district was doing well in terms of nutrition security.

The function was attended by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Sudam Marandi, Skills Development Minister Shri Premananda Nayak, Kendujhar MP Mrs. Chandrani Murmu, Ghazipura MLA Shri Badri Narayan Patra and Kendujhar Patna MLA Shri Jagannath Nayak. “It simply came to our notice then. They said the chief minister’s move, especially during the Kovid epidemic, had saved many lives across the country. The Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister has taken a number of steps for the development of Kendujhar and highlighted the development of Kendujhar district in various fields.
