Tripura Municipal Election , BJP wins big

Tripura, 28/11: The ruling BJP government in Tripura has got a big success in the urban body elections. In these elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has won all the seats of the 51-member Agartala Municipal Corporation. Whereas as the main opposition parties, Trinamool Congress (TMC) and CPI (M) (CPI) could not even open their account. The Tripura State Election Commission announced the election results on Sunday. BJP got a landslide victory in the counting of votes in 222 seats of Agartala Municipal Corporation and 13 urban bodies in the state on Sunday.

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted and congratulated the party on this victory in Tripura. Prime Minister Modi said, “The people of Tripura have given a clear message that they give priority to the politics of good governance. I would like to thank him for his clear support to the Tripura BJP. This blessing gives us more strength to work for the welfare of each and every person in Tripura.”
