UP Election: Priyanka Gandhi plays women card

UP, 8/12: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the National General Secretary of Congress and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, released the party’s separate manifesto for women regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP Assembly Election 2022). Congress has named this manifesto as ‘Shakti Vidhan’. In this manifesto, Congress made many big promises like giving smartphone to every girl student studying in 12th and free scooty to the girls doing graduation.

 

While releasing the Congress manifesto for women, Priyanka Gandhi said, ‘We will give 40% women’s share in politics. Working women have 9.4% participation in UP. We will give government jobs to 8 lakh women out of 20 lakh. Women doing business up to 50 lakhs will get tax exemption. Anganwadi and Asha daughters-in-law will be given an honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month. Women will get the management of 50% ration shops. 10+2 girl students will be given smart phones and free scooty will be given to the girl students studying in graduation.

 

 

FD on the birth of a girl child, increase in the amount of old age-widow pension

Along with this, he announced, ‘75% efficiency schools will be built in the name of Veeranganao in UP. Free travel facility will be available in government buses. Mahila Panchayat will be formed in every Gram Panchayat. 1 thousand rupees per month old-widow pension will be available. Poor families will get free internet. FD will be done on the birth of every girl child.

 

While releasing the manifesto, Priyanka Gandhi said, ‘Women are no longer ready to bear injustice. That’s why we have made a women’s manifesto. It has six parts: self-respect, self-reliance, education, respect, security and health.’ He said that this manifesto is a collective expression of the hopes and aspirations of the women of the state, who are facing unprecedented violence, exploitation and anti-women ideology of the government in the present government.
