First Omicron detected in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh, 12/12: The first case of Omicron variant of corona virus has been reported in Andhra Pradesh. Covid has been detected in a 20-year-old man from Italy. He came to India on 22 November and was found to have symptoms of Kovid on 1 December. On the other hand, in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, a person has been found infected with Kovid. Genome sequencing revealed that it has an Omicron variant. The Chandigarh Health Department said that the infected person has received both doses of Pfizer vaccine. Kovid test has been done again on Sunday and the report is awaited. It was told that the person found infected is a citizen of Ireland. Let us tell you that after the arrival of these two new cases, the total number of Omicron cases in the country has increased to 35.

 

 

Earlier, in West Bengal, a person returned from Bangladesh has been found infected with Covid-19, after which his sample has been sent for genome sequencing to find out whether he is suffering from the new Omicron form of the corona virus. This information was given by an official on Saturday. The man, a resident of Barasat in North 24 Parganas district, was found infected on Friday and was admitted to the Government Beleghata ID and BG Hospital.
