In a major development Sashirekha Singh, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO), Asarada GP, Dhenkanal has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on 17.12.2021 while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.8,000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand)from a complainant in order to release the balance amount in his favour related to a work done under MGNREGS by the complainant. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Ms. Singh and seized.
In this connection Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No 47 dt. 17-12-2021 U/s 7 P.C.(Amendment) Act 2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress against Ms. Singh.
Residential house search of Ms. Singh at Asarada, Dist-Dhenkanal has been launched. Detailed report follows.
