Bhubaneswar, 30/12: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep grief over the sudden demise of former Speaker Kishore Mohanty. In a message of condolence, the Chief Minister said that he was deeply saddened by the tragedy. As a leader, he was popular, regardless of party affiliation. As a Speaker, he maintained a high parliamentary tradition and won the respect of legislators from all parties. As a minister and a legislator, he has made significant contributions to the development of Odisha. He was also the chairman of the West Odisha Development Council. In western Odisha, he led BJD’s organizational program. Service and commitment were unique aspects of his personality.
The Chief Minister extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished them well.
