On the occasion of Republic Day, a Ceremonial Parade was held in INS Chilka on 26 Jan 22. Cmde NP Pradeep, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Odisha) & Commanding Officer, INS Chilka laid a wreath at the War Memorial and inspected the 20 men Guard on the occasion. He also reviewed the parade comprising of naval personnel and jawans of the Defence Security Corps of INS Chilka.
On completion of the Parade, he also felicitated the personnel who have been awarded various service recognitions including CNS and CINC commendations.
In his address, the Commanding Officer urged personnel on parade to uphold the basic values of the Constitution and to rededicate themselves in the service of the nation. The Commodore advised one and all to follow COVID19 appropriate behaviour and ensure that its spread is contained. The event was conducted following all COVID protocols.
