Rohit Sharma may drop 4 senior players as soon as he became the captain!

New Delhi, 10/2: Rohit Sharma is set to become the next Test captain of Team India. Recently, Virat Kohli resigned from the captaincy of the Test team after the 1-2 defeat in the Test series in South Africa. The team has to play Test and T20 series from Sri Lanka (India vs Sri lanka) at home in February-March. But for the Test series, 4 senior players, including former vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, find it difficult to find a place in the team. All these have not done well. The selectors have taken this decision after talking to coach Rahul Dravid and the management.

According to the news of Inside Sports, apart from Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, fast bowler Ishant Sharma and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will not get a place in the Test team. This decision has been taken after talking to coach Rahul Dravid and some senior members of the team management.

Future will depend on Ranji’s performance

Senior batsmen Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been struggling to do well in Tests for the last two years. He has been asked by the board to regain form in the Ranji Trophy. Both the players are participating in the first class tournament from their state team. His future will be decided on his performance here. At the same time, good times have passed for Ishant Sharma and Saha. In such a situation, the youth will get a chance in their place.
