Mumbai, 23/2: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most awaited film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has been embroiled in many controversies even before its release. Alia Bhatt is going to be seen in the lead role in this film and will be accompanied by Ajay Devgn. The film is set to release in theaters on February 25 and its advance booking has also started. In such a situation, a few hours before the release, the issue of the film has reached the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court has suggested to Bhansali Productions whether the name of this film can be changed? The court made this suggestion because many cases are pending in the courts regarding the ban on the film. Now the Supreme Court will hear the matter on Thursday. On the other hand, according to news agency ANI, the Bombay High Court dismissed two petitions against the film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and disposed of another petition against the film.
Let me tell you, Gangubai’s family is opposing the film. Her family says that Gangubai worked for the society, but she is portrayed as a sex worker. In fact, a petition was filed in a Mumbai court in the year 2021 against Gangubai’s adopted son Babu Raoji Shah ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. During the hearing on this petition, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt were asked to appear in the court. However, later the Bombay High Court allowed the release of the film.
At the same time, the trailer of the film has been in discussion since its release. Audiences are praising Alia’s character a lot.
