CSK to face KKR in first match of IPL

Mumbai, 27/2: IPL 2022 (IPL 2022) is going to start from March 26. The opening match will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. According to the report, the opening match of this tournament of 10 teams will be played between the two finalist teams of last season. That is, defending champion Chennai Super Kings and last season’s runner up Kolkata Knight Riders (CSK vs KKR) will face each other in the first match. In the title match of IPL 2021, MS Dhoni’s CSK defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs.

A total of 70 matches will be played in this season. In which 55 matches will be played in Mumbai’s Wankhede, Brabourne, DY Patil Stadium, while 15 matches will be played in Pune. The Maharashtra government has also started its preparation. According to the news of Indian Express, Kurla Complex in Bandra and Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane have been kept for training of teams.

 

A separate road corridor will be built for the teams, keeping in view the distance between the venue of the match, the training venue and the team hotel, the Maharashtra government has assured full support to the BCCI and promised a separate road corridor for the teams. Milind Narvekar, chairman of the governing council of the Maharashtra Cricket Association, told that he had a meeting with the BCCI.
