Huge Setback for CSK:Deepak Chahar Out of IPL

Chennai, 9/3: Chennai Super Kings, which has won the title 4 times in the IPL, has suffered a setback before the start of the 15th season (IPL-2022). Team’s star pacer Deepak Chahar may be out of the opening matches of the upcoming season. The reason for this is his surgery and he is likely to be match fit by mid-April. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

 

 

According to media reports, Deepak Chahar has not undergone surgery and will do rehabilitation to be match fit. However, he will be able to be fit by the middle of April. Chahar suffered a strain in the quadricep muscles (thigh muscles) during the T20I series against West Indies. Due to this he could not play in the series against Sri Lanka. According to a ToE report, plans for surgery have been considered and Chahar should be available for selection by mid-April
