Patt Cummins joins KKR ahead of Mumbai clash

Mumbai, 4/4: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have had a good start in IPL 2022. KKR are second in the points table after winning two out of their 3 matches. Now the team will become even more dangerous. The reason for this is the comeback of the match winner bowler. Australia’s Test captain and fast bowler Pat Cummins has joined KKR and his quarantine period will end on Monday. He will be ready to play the match from April 6. KKR’s next match is against Mumbai Indians on 6 April. In such a situation, Cummins is fully expected to play in this match.

KKR Head Code Brendon McCullum is very happy to have Pat Cummins join the team. He said that Cummins is such a player, who easily adapts to the atmosphere. He is also a strong leader. In such a situation, his presence will also benefit Shreyas Iyer, who has been successful in leaving his mark as captain. However, with the return of Cummins, KKR may find it difficult to choose the playing XI. Because in his absence Tim Southee has bowled brilliantly for KKR.

Our headache will increase over selection: McCullum

Coach McCullum said about this, “The selection will now be a headache for us. Because now we will have more players to choose playing XI, I think it is good for the team to have this problem. ,

Kolkata will be stronger with Cummins’ return

Pat Cummins has been in great form this year. Cummins was the highest wicket-taker in the recently concluded Test series against Pakistan. He took 12 wickets in 3 Tests at an average of 22.50. At the same time, in the Ashes series too, he had a memorable performance as a captain and bowler. Now he would like to repeat this performance in the IPL. Cummins has taken 38 wickets in 37 matches of IPL. He bowls well in the powerplay as well as in the death overs.
