Banpur Police have rescued a minor victim girl from Chennai on Friday. Khordha SP Siddharth Kataria informed about this. The minor had been missing since last March and the police had been searching for her ever since. However, recently police got the information that the minor was in Chennai.
Immediately on the instructions of the SP and under the supervision of Balugaon SDPO Manas Ranjan Barik and Banpur IIC Jayaprakash Parida, a team was formed under the joint leadership of SI Debasmita Behera and SI Chandan Das and left for Chennai. IIC Mr Parida said that the concerned minor girl was brought to Banpur police station today and will be handed over to her lawful guardian after her statement record and medical examination.
