Nimapada: As many as 50 Jatra artists narrowly escaped today as the bus in which they were travelling luckily managed to stop before falling into a canal in Puri district of Odisha on Monday morning. The incident took place at the Balanga canal embankment near Nuasantha village in Nimapada area. The artists who narrowly escaped are from Jatra Rajnandini. As per reports, today morning the bus of the Rajnandini Jatra party was carrying artists. Near the Nuasantha village first the front left wheel of the bus suddenly fell into the canal, causing panic among all the artists on the bus. Soon the other portion of the bus also tilted and was about to fall when somehow the driver managed to balance and stop the bus. The said bus has been tied to a coconut tree to save it from falling into the canal.
