Bhubaneswar: A civil defence mock drill will be carried out in between Rajmahal square and Shishubhawan chhaka in Bhubaneswar today in between 4.00 pm and 4.30 pm. This exercise will test the preparedness of the civil defence and other authorities. It is a mock drill regarding an air raid alert and the residents of the area will be warned through sirens. The simulation will test preparedness for air raids and shall include use of sirens to alert local population. This is an exercise to test the capacity of Civil Defence and not a signal of ay war etc. Please don’t panic and do not spread rumours. No emergency services will be affected in any manner. This is just an exercise. This is not a sign of war or a real emergency. Please do not panic or spread any lies. Emergency services will not be affected in any way, the Government of India and the Odisha Government have instructed. Tensions have increased between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgaon terror attack. In such a situation, importance has been given to the self-defense of the general public. India has started pre-preparedness to save lives from enemy attacks in any situation. This mock drill will be conducted in phases at various places for a week. 12 districts of Odisha have also been included in this mock drill, which includes Bhubaneswar.
