Balangir: In a shocking incident, as many as 8 masked and sword-wielding miscreants reportedly chased a youth to attack in Balangir of Odisha yesterday night. Fortunately, the youth has narrowly escaped. The shocking incident took place in Balangir town under Town Police Station limits. As per reports, masked miscreants, armed with sword, chased a youth in film style in the middle of the road in Balangir yesterday night in a motive to kill him. The motive can be guessed because as the youth went ran into a shop to save himself and shut the door, the miscreants tried to break the Iron Gate by their swords. These scars are still visible on the iron door. The victim youth who was chased by the miscreants has been identified as Sonu Patnaik. A few criminal cases are also pending in Sonu’s name in the Police Station. The reason behind this attack may be due to past enmity, people are discussing. After getting information Balangir Town Police reached the spot and rescued the youth. Police are investigating the case.
