Udala: In a sad incident, a man was reportedly crushed to death by a tractor while he was doing canal work in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The incident took place in Ghagaragadi village under Udala Police Station limits. The deceased has been identified as Ladra Singh of Ghagragadi village. As per reports, canal work was being carried out by the irrigation department in Ghagaragadi village today. Ladra Singh of the village was measuring something when a stone laden tractor came to the spot to unload the stones. At this time, while the tractor was reversing, first it hit the man and then ran over him. As a result of the accident, Ladra died on the spot. On receiving the information, Udala police reached the spot and seized the body of the deceased and initiated investigation. The tractor driver absconded after the accident while police have seized it. Further investigation of the case is underway.
