Today i.e. on 21.05.2025, Sri Hemsagar Mahapatra, Former RI, Lakhanpur Revenue Circle under Ambhabona Tehsil, Dist-Bargarh (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for demanding and taking bribe from a beneficiary under MO KUDIA scheme for verifying and processing papers for the construction of an IAY house, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bargarh and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and fine.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Hemsagar Mahapatra, Former RI, Lakhanpur Revenue Circle under Ambhabona Tehsil, Dist-Bargarh (Retired) following his conviction.
