Important advisory by Odisha Health secretary after Covid case detected in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Aswathy S, the Commissioner-Cum-Secretary of the Health department in Odisha has advised people not to panic after detection of a Covid case in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. As per reports, the Health Department secretary advised people not to panic. She said that Covid has not completely wiped out from the country. Sporadic cases of the disease are still found. In the context of the recent Covid case of Bhubaneswar she said that the Covid strain that is found in the country these days is less severe and is a mild one. Moreover, the person who has been found affected by Covid has also co-morbidities. Not that he has only affected by Covid. Odisha Health Department is monitoring the Covid situation. So far Government of India or the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have not issued any guidelines on Covid pandemic after the recent case. Now, the Govt has asked us (the Health Department) to monitor the situation and we are doing so. we are alert – the Health Secretary said.
