New Delhi: All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba on Sunday during a press conference mistakenly referred to ‘Operation Sindoor’ as ‘Operation Blue Star’. Alka Lamba said in the press conference, ‘We demand that it is the need of the hour that both the sessions of the Parliament should be called soon and the government should give a comprehensive information to the whole country on Operation Blue Star.’ During the conference, Alka Lamba also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is playing politics with the honor of the country, because in one of his pictures he is shown in the uniform of an army officer on the banner of ‘Operation Sindoor’. Lamba also mentioned the comment of Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, who had said that both the Indian Army and the nation are bowing in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for starting ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the terrorist attack of Pakistan. Congress leader Alka Lamba posted on social media platform X and wrote, ‘The issues I raised in my press conference today were so serious that the leaders of the “bad-tongued party” BJP not only listened to me carefully, but also noted every word. I thank them for this. If something else came out of my mouth instead of Operation Sindoor, then BJP made that mistake an issue as if they have got an excuse to divert attention from the real issues and to bite me (mosquito). Alka Lamba said, ‘But the public knows what the real questions are. Will BJP apologize on behalf of the leaders who made statements on a brave army officer like Colonel Safia Qureshi. When will those who insulted the women of the families of martyrs be expelled from the party? Will these leaders be sent to jail and the biggest question – will Prime Minister Narendra Modi keep running away from these questions? When will a special session of Parliament be called? When will an all-party meeting be held? How long will the Prime Minister refrain from visiting Jammu and Kashmir? BJP immediately attacked the statement of Congress leader Alka Lamba.
