Rourkela: Movement of trains that pass through Rourkela was disrupted as some bogies of a goods train derailed near Bondamunda on Sunday afternoon.
As informed by sources, as many as 5-6 bogies of the goods train derailed reportedly at Bondamunda Railway Yard this afternoon leading to the disruption of trains including the passenger trains on the route. However, the reason behind the derailment of the goods train is yet to be ascertained.
After learning about the derailment of the train, the concerned railway officials and employees reached the spot and are taking all possible steps to place the derailed wagons on the track and bring normalcy on the route.
Meanwhile, it is alleged that the derailment of the goods train occurred due the negligence of the employees of Bondamunda Railway Yard. When asked the concerned officials of Chakradharpur Railway about this, they assured to probe into the matter and take stricter action against persons who are responsible for the same.
