Rayagada:(Correspondent):- Based on credible information regarding collection of huge illegal cash from Contractors, on 28.05.2025, a short while ago, Sri Sahadev Kisan, Superintending Engineer (SE), P.H, Rayagada was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance at Rayagada while he was proceeding from his office to his residential Govt. quarter with unaccounted cash by his office Scorpio vehicle bearing Regn No. OD-18N-7957. During interception, *suspected ill-gotten cash Rs. 1,50,000/-* was found from the possession of Sri Kisan. As he could not account for satisfactorily, the cash from his possession was seized.
Following the interception, searches are being carried out at 2 locations linked to Sri Kisan, S.E., Rayagada from DA angle.
He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds.
