Berhampur: In a bizarre incident a rare incident has been witnessed in Ganjam district of Odisha lately. In the incident, that seems like the plot of a film, a letter was found along with a stolen bike in Berhampur in which the thief not only apologized for stealing the bike but also said that theft was not his intention but as his girlfriend met with an accident and he had no other way but to take her to the hospital in a hurry, he stole the said bike. The incident took place in the Lanjipalli area of Berhampur. As per reports, yesterday a bike was stolen when it had been parked in front of the owner’s house in Lanjipalli area of Berhampur. The theft has been captured on CCTV camera. After not finding his bike, the owner searched for it and then lodged an FIR at the Baidyanathpur Police Station about the theft. While Police were yet to trace out the bike, today morning only the bike was found parked at the same place from where it had been lifted yesterday. Moreover, now the recovered bike also had a letter. As the owner of the bike found his vehicle in front of his house again he became happy and took it back. However, he found the letter fixed to the bike where the bike lifter had apologized and narrated the ordeal under what circumstance he had to steal the bike for a night. The letter reads, ‘I MA SORRY’ (I am sorry probably he means). Last night, my girlfriend had an accident. I had a money problem. And I had to leave soon. So I took your bike. It wasn’t meant to be like that, so I’m done. I thought you would forgive me thinking me as your brother.” The recovery of the bike and the unusual apology letter have sparked interest in the local area.
