On Friday, Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan attended the fifth general body meeting of Banpur block and reviewed about the development work of various departments in the block.The Minister directed the Agriculture Department officer to prepare a complete blueprint within the next 15 days to encourage and train farmers in the Banpur area to start potato cultivation.
With the aim of increasing the export of food grains produced by farmers, improving their financial condition, a decision has been taken to build a cold storage in the Banpur area.
The Minister directed the departmental officers to provide appropriate training for the cultivation of various useful flowers and to advise each farmer on improved methods of cultivation.Banpur Block Chairman Amarendra Ranasingh, Khordha ZP Vice Chairman Gopinath Moharana, Banpur BDO Sheetal Agrawal , Tehsildar T. Padmanabh Dora and PRI members were present during this meeting.
