IFFCO Paradeep Unit Hosts 12 th Inter Unit Cultural Festival (IUCF)

Paradeep :The 12 th edition of the prestigious Inter Unit Cultural Festival (IUCF) of Indian Farmers
Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) commenced with great enthusiasm and cultural
spirit on 2 nd June 2025 at the IFFCO Paradeep Unit, Odisha. This marks a historic
occasion as the IUCF is being hosted for the first time at the Paradeep Unit since its
inception.
The festival was inaugurated by Shri Dileep Sanghani, Hon’ble Chairman of IFFCO,
who graced the occasion along with his spouse Smt. Geeta Ben. Extending a warm
welcome, Sh. P K Mahapatra, Unit Head of IFFCO Paradeep expressed the joy and
pride of the Paradeep family in hosting the Chairman and such a grand event. He
lauded the Chairman's inspiring leadership and the values he embodies that continue to
guide the IFFCO family.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Dileep Sanghani emphasized the significance of unity
and cultural exchange within the organization. “We become stronger as one family
through such celebrations that bring us together,” he remarked. He further stated that
IFFCO is not driven by profit, but by its mission to serve the farmers of India, in
collaboration with the Government of India. He proudly highlighted that “IFFCO always
stands first when it comes to helping the farmers.”
The Chairman also spoke about the global reach of IFFCO’s innovations, sharing that
Nano Urea and Nano DAP, which were invented in India, are now spreading across the
world, making the nation proud. Reflecting on the organization’s journey, he added, “Dr.
U. S. Awasthi has laid the foundation, planted a sapling, and under his visionary
leadership, IFFCO is flourishing into a strong and sustainable tree serving millions.”
The event was also attended by Shri Sanjay Kudesia, Unit Head of the Phulpur Unit,
along with his wife. The event saw the presence of senior officials, respected members
of the IFFCO Employees Union, IFFCO Officers Association, a panel of esteemed
judges who have dedicated their time for the week-long event, all of whom were
graciously welcomed.
Sh. P K Mahapatra, in his speech, reiterated that IUCF is more than a competition — it
is a celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and a platform that nurtures the creativity
of IFFCO employees and their families. He acknowledged that the concept of IUCF was
envisioned by IFFCO’s Managing Director, Dr. U. S. Awasthi, as a way to unite the
organization through art, expression, and community.
Shri S. P. Rath is the Chief Coordinator of IUCF 2025, whose meticulous planning and
tireless efforts from the beginning ensured the smooth execution of this large-scale
event.
The IUCF 2025 brings together participants from all IFFCO units — Phulpur, Kalol,
Aonla, Kandla, Head Office & Marketing, and Paradeep. Over the next seven days, from

2 nd to 8 th June, the festival will showcase a vibrant array of performances including
music, dance, drama, and other cultural expressions.
The grand opening set the tone for a week of celebration, unity, and artistic brilliance —
all reflective of IFFCO’s enduring spirit of togetherness and service.
