Paradip Port Authority Observes World Environment Day 2025

PARADIP, ODISHA – June 5, 2025 – Paradip Port Authority (PPA) today observed World Environment Day 2025 with a series of initiatives aligned with the global theme of “Ending Plastic Pollution.” The day’s events underscored PPA’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.

The observance commenced with a significant mass plantation drive in the area near Paradip College. Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA, led the initiative by planting saplings, joined by Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Deputy Chairman, PPA. The drive saw enthusiastic participation from other Heads of Departments of PPA, Environment Cell officers and employees, residents of the township, college staff and students & dedicated volunteers from Paradip Saksharata Samiti (PSS), the social arm of PPA. This collective effort aimed at enhancing green cover and promoting biodiversity in the region.
