Punjab: YouTuber Jasbir Singh, who was arrested on espionage charges on June 4 was produced in the Mohali court, said reliable reports on Saturday. As per police, Jasbir Singh, who operates a YouTube channel called “Jaan Mahal,” has been found associated with Pakistani intelligence operative (PIO) Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, part of a terror-backed espionage network.He also maintained close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra (arrested for spying) and Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani national and expelled Pak High Commission official.Punjab-based YouTuber Jasbir Singh, known for his channel “Jaan Mahal,” has been arrested by the Punjab Police’s State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) for alleged connection with an espionage network based in Pakistan.According to the post by Punjab Director General of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on X, Jasbir Singh was found associated with PIO Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa and also has close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, previously arrested for the same case and Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani national and expelled official from the Pakistan High Commission.The investigation further revealed that Jasbir was invited by Danish to attend the Pakistan National Day celebrations in Delhi, where he met the Pakistani Army officials and Vloggers. He has also visited Pakistan thrice in- 2020, 2021 and 2024. Additionally, his electronic devices has been found containing several Pakistani-based contact numbers, which are currently undergoing detailed forensic examination.Following Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, Jasbir reportedly attempted to delete all digital traces of his communication with these PIOS. An FIR has been lodged at SSOC, Mohali.The investigation in ongoing, with a focus to uncover the entire espionage-terror network and identifying all individuals involved in it, mentioned the official handle of DGP, Punjab Police.Earlier, the investigation into the Jyoti Malhotra case had revealed remarkably similar findings, uncovering connections to the same network.
