Nayagarh: In a shocking incident of friend turning foe has come to the fore from Odisha’s Nayagarh district where a youth was stabbed to death by his friend following an argument over a petty issue. A heated argument occurred between one Purushottam Pradhan of Pandrasingha village and his friend over some petty issue. Irate over the argument, his friend stabbed Pradhan on his chest with a sharp weapon. Some villagers who noticed the youth stabbing Pradhan reached the spot and caught hold of him and snatched the sharp weapon. Soon, they handed him over to the Gania police and rushed Pradhan to the Digapahandi Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition, but unfortunately doctors declared him dead. On the other hand, Gania police has arrested the accused person and started an investigation into the murder case and are trying to ascertain the cause of the crime. Meanwhile, source said that the body of the deceased youth will be handed over to the family members after completion of the post-mortem.
