Puri: Two tourists from Mayurbhanj were robbed at the Puri beach while taking a sea bath after visiting the Jagannath Temple on Tuesday. Their bag containing valuables such as mobile phones, cash, and clothes were stolen from the shore within minutes. They quickly reported the incident to the nearby Sea Beach Police Station. Acting swiftly, police tracked the mobile phone and found the thieves were heading to Bhubaneswar via the National Highway. Puri Police informed Satyabadi Police, who intercepted an auto with the help of locals and caught the two accused. The tourists’ bag with the belongings, was recovered and handed over to Puri Police. The locals also took charge by making the accused publicly apologize before handing them over to the police. Swift police response and local support led to the quick recovery of stolen items and justice for the tourists.
