Health protection of senior citizens is the responsibility of all of us – Governor

Bhubaneswar:(Correspondent) :- The annual conference of the Geriatric Society of India was inaugurated at Hitech Medical College and Hospital in a grand ceremony. It was formally inaugurated by Odisha Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati, while Jammu and Kashmir AIIMS CEO and Director Dr. Sachidanand Mohanty joined as the chief guest and said that senior citizens, old people, elderly people are an ideal of our society and a rich chapter of our lives. The Governor said that their health treatment is not only our responsibility, it is our duty. While Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi said that he is committed to providing free treatment to senior citizens at Hi-tech Medical College as per the instructions of the Government of India and the State Government. While saying that the Geriatric Society’s conference is dedicated to the common man, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Rath, Community Medicine, Hi-tech Medical College and Hospital, said that geriatrics should come into daily life and provide good treatment to senior citizens is not only our duty but also an ideal way of life. The inaugural conference was attended by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Panigrahi, Director of Hitech Group, Professor Dr. Purna Chandra Dash, Convenor and Chairman of Hitech Medical College and Hospital, Vice-Chairman Professor Dr. Lisa Sarangi, Director and Dean Dr. Akshay Kumar Samal, Director and Dean Dr. Radha Madhav Tripathi.  While Deputy Director Anil Kumar Panigrahi and Administrative Officer Dr.Gopeshwar Acharya were present, the program was conducted.
