Bhubaneswar, : ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India)
observed International Yoga Day across its Odisha operations, aligning with United
Nations theme for this year – “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. The initiative aimed to
promote a healthy lifestyle and foster harmony between mind, body, and soul among
employees, associates, and community members.
In Paradeep, AM/NS Ports organised a yoga session at the Paradeep Golf Club with
over 100 participants including members of Nilachakra Club (Jagannath Colony),
Ganesh Club (Lockpada), Swami Vivekananda Club (Bijayachandrapur), and students
from Maa Ambika High School, who joined the session led by a certified yoga instructor.
The event concluded with a Dhyana session and the chanting of “Om” creating a
positive and serene atmosphere.
On the same day, CSR team of AM/NS India conducted a yoga session at G.C. High
School, Nuagarh, Paradeep with over 200 students participating under the guidance of
the school’s headmaster and the yoga teacher.
At the Paradeep Pellet Plant Complex, a dedicated session was held in the presence of
Shri U.S.R. Raju, Plant Head, Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS India and Shri Rajarshi
Sinha, Head, Paradeep Power Plant, AM/NS India along with departmental heads,
employees, and associates. Participants learned various asanas under expert guidance.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Raju encouraged employees to incorporate yoga into
their daily routine to enhance physical and mental well-being.
Similarly, at the Dabuna Beneficiation Plant of AM/NS India, a yoga session was
organised for all the employees, associates and partners. Shri Jaikishan Sharma, Head-
Logistics, Dabuna, AM/NS India along with other senior leadership team addressed the
audience on the benefit of learning yoga as an essential life skill.
Yoga sessions were also organised at the mining locations of AM/NS India for
employees, associates and families at Soyabally and Arya Colony in Barbil. The
sessions were led by certified yoga practitioners leaving everyone energetic and
relaxed.
These celebrations reflect AM/NS India’s commitment to nurturing a culture of wellness
and mindfulness across its operations and for the communities it serves.
