Dhenkanal (Odisha), July 02, 2025: GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL), a subsidiary of GMR Power and Urban Infrastructure Limited (GPUIL), organised a blood donation camp in association with District Blood Centre, Dhenkanal, on Tuesday, where employees enthusiastically donated blood, resulting in the collection of a total 298 of units.
Manoj Mishra, Plant Head, inaugurated the blood donation camp along with other senior officials of GKEL. Employees of GKEL, associate agency workers, Staff of GMR Varalakshmi DAV Public School, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and RAXA Security Solutions (RAXA) and Fire Protection Staff, voluntarily lined up to donate blood during the whole day.
Congratulating all blood donors, Dhanjaya Despande, COO, GMR Energy (Thermal), said, “Donating blood is a pious work and exhorted everyone to come forward for this noble cause. GKEL has been the largest blood donor among all industries in Dhenkanal District consecutively for the last ten years and we shall continue this service to the society for years to come.”
The camp aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donation and encourage blood donation among its workforce. The successful camp at GKEL is a testament to employees’ willingness to contribute society and make positive impact.
