Low pressure rainfall in Odisha to continue till July 4

Bhubaneswar: Rain in North Odisha is continuing as an impact of the low pressure in Bay of Bengal. The rainfall is likely to continue till July 4.The low pressure developed over the north west Bay of Bengal and adjoining coast of Bangladesh. It will advance towards West and North west direction towards the Gangetic West Bengal and northern Odisha.At several places, rainfall is likely to continue till July 4. An orange warning has been issued to three districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur for heavy to very heavy rainfall.Yellow warning has been issued to six districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Sonepur, Angul and Deogarh for heavy to very heavy rainfall.The IMD has also warned of possible damage to thatched houses and homes in low-lying areas due to high wind speeds during the rainfall. People have been advised to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.The fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea as the sea is expected to be turbulent.
