Adani-ISKCON Anna Prasada Seva Divine Offerings prepared with Pure Desi Ghee and Traditional Spices

Puri, 2.07.2025: The Rath yatra of Puri is not just a festival; it is a symbol of faith, service, and devotion for Eastern India. Millions of devotees gather each year to catch a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra during this grand event. In a heartwarming initiative, Adani Group and ISKCON have joined hands to provide Ann Prasada service at various locations in Puri, catering to the needs of these devotees. This Prasada service not only satisfies the hunger of the devotees but also sets a paragon of service. During Rath yatra, free meals are provided to the devotees, featuring 25 different types of Bhog prepared daily from the 56 Bhog Thali of Lord Jagannath. These dishes are made with pure desi ghee, traditional spices, and Satvik methods, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of Odisha. The kitchen operations are supported by over 500 volunteers who work tirelessly in two shifts. About 50% of these volunteers are locals, while the rest come from different parts of the country. Each volunteer has a specific role, whether it’s cutting vegetables, making rotis, packing Bhog, or distributing it to the designated areas. The volunteers stay in makeshift accommodations near the kitchen, and their meals are also arranged. The Ann Prasada includes a variety of dishes like Khichdi, Dalma, Ghee-Anna, Tarkari, Puri, Bara, Payasam, and different types of sweets. The preparation adheres to traditional methods and Ayurvedic principles, ensuring a wholesome and nutritious meal. The entire operation is driven by the collaboration between Adani’s logistical expertise and ISKCON’s spiritual guidance. Fresh vegetables, pulses, and rice are procured from local markets to prepare the meals. This service is not just about providing food; it’s a spiritual experience for the millions of devotees who partake in the Prasada. It satisfies not just their hunger but also brings peace to their minds and souls. The joint effort by Adani and Iskcon is a shining example of how spirituality and modernity can come together to serve society.
