Kolkatta, 24/12: The political scenario of West Bengal is heating up ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Election. It is expected that the main fight will be between Mamta Banarjee led Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress made an alliance with the Left parties for the election. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi gave her permission for this alliance.
This was confirmed by West Bengal Congress president and Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Congress President Sonia Gandhi gave a nod to this alliance.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “Today, the Congress high command has formally approved the electoral alliance with the Left parties in the impending election of West Bengal.”
