New Delhi, 27/12 (AO bureau) : The government has made FASTag mandatory for all new and old vehicles from 1 January 2021. Addressing a virtual function, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that FASTag is being made mandatory for all vehicles across the country from 1 January 2021. According to the guidelines of NHAI, the trains which will not have FASTag. They will have to pay a double toll tax. What is FASTag
Through Fastag, you can cashless to pay toll tax at Toll Plazas. This is a type of tag or chip. Which is mounted on the windscreen of the car. In such a situation, whenever a car with FASTag will pass through the toll plaza. In such a situation, the tax direct will be deducted from the account of the vehicle owner.
How to buy fast?
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, FASTag can be purchased from all National Highway Fee Plaza, Regional Transport Offices (RTOs), transport centers, general service centers, as well as petrol pumps. You can also buy FASTag at branches of banks like HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, City Union Bank, or online. It can also be purchased through e-commerce websites like PayTM and Amazon.
What is the FASTag fee?
The one-time registration fee of FASTag is Rs 200. After registration, you can recharge at Fastag according to your calculations. FASTag can also be recharged by Fastag via Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe.
