Patna, 11/1 (AO Bureau): This time, the Republic Day celebrations will pay special respect to the brave soldiers of the 16 Bihar Regiment who were martyred in the Galwan Valley. At least five Indian Army personnel, including B Santosh Babu, will be awarded the Posthumously Gallantry Medals posthumously. Last year, all of them were martyred while fighting the Chinese army in Galwan Valley.
At present, no information has been provided by the Ministry of Defense and the Indian Army about the medal, but according to the English newspaper Hindustan Times, at least two officers and three soldiers who fought against China will be honored.
Colonel B Santosh Babu, who was martyred in a violent skirmish with the Chinese army in the Galvan Valley. Santosh Babu was leading the talks with the Chinese side, but he became a martyr in the late-night violence. 19 other soldiers martyred that night along with Colonel Santosh, who was the commanding officer of 16 Bihar Regiment. All of them sacrificed their lives but did not let China enter into Hindustan.
